BASKET BARS - The New York Sessions 10th Anniversary Deluxe Edition dropped today! And this deluxe edition features the two rare bonus tracks that were on the regular 10th Anniversary Edition as well. On top of these tracks, two additional gems were unearthed, straight from my personal archives (the Brainpower Vault). These two previously unreleased rarities are “When Worlds Collide (The Fort Greene, Brooklyn Interlude)” starring my longtime friend DeeJay JayCee, and the pretty compelling, never before heard song “Mysterious Ways”. Both tracks are produced by Oh Jay.
The Basket Bars Deluxe Edition artwork is inspired by / an homage to some of the artwork for the 1982 cult movie Basket Case; a gritty, original, and somewhat outlandish film by Frank Henenlotter. It’s different, weird and strange, yet highly original, and it was filmed in New York. Furthermore, it’s a nod to an era, before and also during the recording of this album, where I was often walking around the globe, a driven, yet laidback guy, with BARS (not me, the bars itself, lol) ready to jump at anyone who wondered what it was, that I was carrying with me….
