Sticks (Junte Uiterwijk) has been rapping since 2001, first as Sticky Steez with the collective Opgezwolle, and has since become one of the most durable and respected names in Dutch hip-hop — sometimes dubbed "the Messi of Nederhop" for his sheer consistency. "Zonneschijn" (2024) is a mature, reflective record that finds the veteran teaming up with longtime collaborators like producer Kubus and rapper Typhoon, mixed and mastered by David van Dijk. Released through TopNotch and his own Fakkelteit Recordings, it's another solid entry in a catalog that now spans over two decades.
