Disc Connect is a Dutch crew built around a single production voice: every beat on this record comes from Gearloose, giving MCs Ramon Wolf, Duif and Appaweasly one continuous canvas to rap over. The album title, "Stijgen is verzekerd, vliegen is belangrijker" ("rising is guaranteed, flying is more important"), sets the tone for a record about graft outweighing hype, echoed in cuts like "Vraagkracht" and "Maakkracht" that twist Dutch economic jargon into bars. The cover artwork comes from Jarmo Gutteling, rounding out a tightly self-contained underground release.
