Tusco and DJ Ghost are longtime collaborators from Pavia, Italy, bonded over sampling, turntablism and dense, intricate rhyme schemes as part of the city's boom bap scene (DJ Ghost also runs the Milledue Room studio there). For this EP, released through the German crate-digger label Vinyl Digital, they crossed the Atlantic to link with ReadyRockDee, a battle-tested MC out of Yonkers, New York — the "PV 2 NY" title nodding directly to that Pavia-to-New York connection. The result, Kids from the Corner, is a short but focused showcase of old-school-rooted, sample-heavy hip-hop built on shared history between two scenes that don't often cross paths on wax.
