Dutch rap veteran Brainpower (Gertjan Mulder) took a detour from hip-hop in 2010, teaming up with Black Star Foundation after a trip to Jamaica to rework six of his own tracks, plus one new title cut, into full-blown reggae and dub versions, cut with riddims from the legendary Fire House Crew and producer Asher E. Fifteen years later, Lyric Recordings brought Dub & Dwars back as a remastered, numbered vinyl LP pressed in tri-color red, yellow and green, limited to just 100 copies for collectors of one of Dutch hip-hop's more unexpected side trips.
