Jojo Wavy is a Dutch rapper known for a laid-back, melodic style, teaming up with JaFlu for this joint project themed around the kraken, the mythical sea monster, framed by Dutch hip-hop media as Jojo Wavy "causing a flood wave" with the release. The tracklist reads like a who's-who of the Dutch underground, stacking guest spots from Berry, Krimi, MVREK, Ill Material, Hairo, Dookie, Ome Guus, Low G, Cobra and Jetroo across twelve tracks. Berry, Jetroo, MVREK, Krimi and Low G all hail from Brussels, so alongside the Dutch names the album is loaded with Belgian collaborations too, making it as much a Dutch-Belgian team-up as a Jojo Wavy x JaFlu record, built for heads following the current wave of Dutch and Belgian street rap.
