Released November 21, 2025 via Mass Appeal's "Legend Has It..." series, Cabin In The Sky is De La Soul's ninth studio album and their first full project since the 2023 death of member Trugoy the Dove (David Jolicoeur), whose previously unreleased vocals appear throughout. The record marked the group's first collaboration with founding producer Prince Paul since their earliest recordings, alongside contributions from Pete Rock, DJ Premier and others. It arrived to widespread critical acclaim as a fitting continuation of one of hip-hop's most influential catalogs.
