This is the original run of Light-Years, the joint album Nas and DJ Premier first floated back in 2006 and only completed in 2025, produced start to finish by Premier and released through Mass Appeal's "Legend Has It..." series. The Day Ones Edition was the first pressing to hit the market in December 2025, sold through independent record stores with its promo-style CMYK sticker treatment — a nod to the white-label test pressings DJs traded in the early '90s. It's the collector's version of an album that critics have called one of the strongest legacy rap releases of the year, with reviewers at Clash and Hip Hop Golden Age both landing at 8+/10.
