Finsta made his name in the early-90s Brooklyn underground, first with the 1992 single "Finsta Baby / Payday Is Bliss" and then as one half of the cult duo Finsta Bundy, whose releases are now regarded as indie rap classics. Three decades later he links up with Recluse Crew, a Finnish production collective known for dusty, sample-based boom bap, for Possibilities Vol. 1, the debut release on the Finnish label Mood Monarch, run by DJ and record collector Sami Belkahla. The record leans on features from Mike C.O.X., Jay L, Paleface and more, bridging Finsta's raw New York delivery with a distinctly Nordic take on golden-era production.
