Mondo Slade came up in Cleveland before relocating to Atlanta, building a catalog rooted in Wu-Tang-inspired storytelling, distinctive slang and a sharp sense of humor. Released on the boutique label Lowtechrecords, Shoots & Ladders pressed just 100 copies on eye-catching "Gumbo Flavor" vinyl and pulls in a deep bench of underground collaborators including Eddie Kaine, Kyle Lucas and Sully Nomad. It's a prime example of the small-run, collector-driven underground rap that AppleDizzle digs deepest into.
