Tragedy Khadafi is a Queensbridge institution, a Juice Crew veteran who has been rhyming since his Intelligent Hoodlum days in the late 80s and early 90s. Recognize Ali, an underground mainstay who hails from Ghana, has spent the past decade earning his stripes in the boom bap scene, and the two had already crossed paths on tracks like "Black C******" and "Intelligent Hoodlums." The Past The Present And The Future was originally slated for 2021 but got pushed back by the pandemic; when it finally landed in July 2025, it arrived stacked with guest verses from Vinnie Paz, Trife Diesel, Ransom and Flash of N.B.S., with producer Hobgoblin behind roughly half the beats.
