Zwart Licht is the project of Dutch-Ghanaian rapper Akwasi and producer Hayzee, formed in the Netherlands in the mid-2000s. Their debut album Bliksemschicht, released in 2009 on TopNotch, became a defining moment in Dutch hip-hop for its sharp, socially charged Dutch-language bars and its unapologetic celebration of Black history and identity. The record helped launch Akwasi's career as one of the country's most outspoken voices, and this dark green vinyl repress brings the album back to shelves for a new generation of collectors.
